Tarrytown Residents may be eligible to replace Windows and Doors through a program from The New NY Bridge Community Benefits Program!
The New NY Bridge Community Benefits Program is offering eligible private homeowners in Westchester County up to $30,000 each to install new sound-reducing windows and doors. A number of homes in Tarrytown that will experience temporary construction noise in excess of the federal daytime interior noise standard of 51 Decibels (dBA) will be eligible for this program.
Project noise levels that exceed the limit are generally associated with the installation of piles for the project, which will be limited to a maximum window of 7 am to 7 pm Mondays through Fridays and 12 noon to 7 pm on Saturdays. No pile driving is allowed on Sundays.
The New NY Bridge Community Benefits Program is dedicated to making a difference in the community. Through the CBP, the New NY Bridge project is providing grants to selected projects including those that will have a positive impact on the quality of life for residents and communities in Rockland and Westchester Counties.
